Bloggers all over the nation meet up for the first Cebu Blog Camp

Today, the role of blogs became increasingly mainstream as data consumers and even advertisers began using them as tools for outreach and opinion forming. In fact during the recently concluded May 2010 election candidates took advantage of blogs to make known their platforms and propaganda while mainstream media tapped bloggers nationwide for information, insights and opinions on the Election Day.

Recognizing the roles of bloggers in the community, a group of Cebu Bloggers will hold a free unconference for bloggers entitled “Cebu Blog Camp”. This one-whole day bloggers meet-up is an excellent opportunity for bloggers and consumers of sharing and learning new ideas as well as the “in and out” in the blogosphere. Various topics will be discussed including but not limited to blogging basics, monetizing your blog, building your network, blogging ethics and even the legal and social repercussions of blogging. Prominent names in the Philippine blogging community have already confirmed their interests of sharing their insights during this event.

All bloggers are invited to register online for free at http://www.cebublogcamp.com/ . Limited seats are available. Early registrants are prioritized.

The Cebu Blog Camp 2010 Blogging: Expressions & Opportunities will be held on May 22, 2010 at 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM at CAP Art Center, Osmena Boulevard, Cebu City.

This event is organized by the Blog and Soul – Cebu Chapter, the community leg of the Philippine Blogging Awards.
